April 12th, 2010 MJV No comments

In a bit of an upset this weekend, “Clash of the Titans” managed to just barely topple over newcomer “Date Night” for the box office crown.  The top 3 films alone had a very strong weekend.  Overall, most of the films in the top 10 had very strong holds compared to last weekend when the Easter holiday sort of messed up box office numbers.

April 11th, 2010 MJV No comments

In a bit of a surprise this weekend, the box office has found itself a three-way race for the number one movie of the weekend.  For now, studio estimates place “Date Night” at number one with $27.1 million, with ‘Clash of the Titans’ following very close, as well as a very strong hold from ‘How to Train Your Dragon.’  Final figures tomorrow evening will decide which film is the actual victor.
